We're thrilled to invite you to join us for
A CHAT WITH CHELSEA HANDLER
in collaboration with WeWork
Comedian, talk show host, author, and activist, Chelsea Handler will be discussing today's trending issues, what's important now, and her passion for helping Syrian refugees.
Chelsea has been a longtime supporter of Karam Foundation. She has sponsored the education of dozens of Syrian refugee children for more than a year, helping stabilize Syrian refugee families living in Turkey so that their children do not have to work, and can instead access a quality education. Chelsea's generosity has extended to support Syrian families that have recently resettled in the United States. In May 2017, Chelsea made a generous contribution to Karam Foundation's pilot Jumpstart program for Syrian refugees, allowing us to provide transportation assistance and overall support to over 17 Syrian refugee families across 8 states.
Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see Chelsea Handler live! Please join us as #ChelseaDoesSF at the WeWork Embarcadero Center.
Small plates and drinks will be served.
Tickets are non-refundable. Proceeds will benefit Karam Foundation’s Innovative Education programs for Syrian refugee children and youth.

Karam Foundation is a non-profit organization on a mission to build a better future for Syria. Karam means generosity in Arabic - we seek to restore the dignity and quality of life for people by eliminating barriers to success through innovative education, entrepreneurial development, and community-driven aid. Karam is at the forefront of using innovation and technology to serve thousands of people who are suffering through one of the worst humanitarian crises of our lifetime.
Karam Foundation believes in providing long-term aid to help Syrian youth and families in need rebuild their lives. Our most ambitious project yet is Karam House, a community innovation center designed for Syrian refugee youth. Karam House offers a variety of STEAM-based courses intended to advance students' education and critical thinking through skill-building workshops in coding, video editing, engineering, science, and more that are led by skilled mentors. Through our Sponsor A Syrian Refugee Family program, we are able to provide families with a financial stipend to help stabilize them and ensure that their children can access a quality education instead of work. Karam's programs to support Syrians in need evolves from our Smart Aid philosophy to provide what is needed to those who need it by asking one simple questions: What do you need? Karam provides both long-term and immediate aid; we distribute Emergency Aid to Syrians on the ground, Winter Aid to keep families warm, school support and scholarships for Syrian children and youth. Our aid has recently extended to the US to support newly resettled refugee families through our Jumpstart program.
