Join Nasser Al Rayess in Supporting Displaced Syrians This Ramadan
I’ve always been deeply connected to my Syrian roots. My parents left Damascus in the early ’90s, but Syria was still a huge part of my upbringing. I haven’t been back since I was three, but I dream of returning now that Syria is free. In the meantime, I’m doing what I can to help displaced Syrians rebuild their futures. For me, comedy is more than entertainment—it’s healing. It makes me happy to make people smile. It’s what drives me. I like to call myself a doctor of laughter.
This Ramadan, I want to use that joy to make a real impact. That’s why I’m partnering with Karam Foundation. I love that they don’t just provide aid—they invest in education, mentorship, and real opportunities so Syrians can move forward with dignity.
Karam has empowered over 100,000 displaced Syrians since 2011. As a Syrian-led organization, Karam provides tools and opportunities for youth and families to thrive. Their work is based in Turkiye (in Istanbul and in Reyhanli, which is on the Syrian border), and they also work in the US, Lebanon, and Syria.
Syria is finally free, but for millions of displaced Syrians, returning home isn’t possible yet. Their homes are gone, their communities shattered, and the resources they need to rebuild just aren’t there. That’s why this Ramadan, I’m teaming up with Karam Foundation to provide meals, financial aid, and critical support to Syrians who are working to rebuild their lives inside and outside Syria.

How We're Taking Action
Inside Syria: Delivering hot meals daily to 2,600 displaced Syrians in Eastern Aleppo—because no one should break their fast alone.
In Turkiye: Providing grocery cards to families in Reyhanli and Istanbul so they can buy their Ramadan essentials—restoring dignity and choice during this important month.
In the Camps: Supporting displaced families still living in camps by distributing food baskets, fresh Iftar meals, and financial aid so they can observe Ramadan with security and comfort.
